There'll never be a better time to preserve this incredible journey than in the final weeks before your due date. That is when the bump is at its most beautiful and the whole thing still feels real rather than a long-lost memory. Get in touch early so we can hold your preferred date, because sunset sessions book out quickly.

At sunset, almost always. That soft, golden light just before the sun dips below the horizon creates the most breathtaking atmosphere: it's warm, dreamy and oh-so-flattering. The golden hues bring out natural skin tones, add depth to the background and create those beautiful little sun flares. Sunset light also changes beautifully through a session, starting warm and golden then shifting into soft pinks, purples and deep blues, so you get real variety in one shoot.

Across Sydney and beyond. Every maternity session is shot outdoors on location in natural light, and we choose the spot together at your pre-session consult. The priority is a location that gives you privacy and allows you to simply be, so you are never performing in front of an audience.

Wear something that feels like you: comfortable, flattering, and something that makes you feel amazing. Think coordinating, not matching, with textures, layers and flowy dresses or skirts. Neutrals with pops of colour always look great. A few things to avoid: thin stripes, large logos or bold brand names, and super matchy-matchy outfits. Stuck on what to wear? That's exactly what the pre-shoot consult is for.

Absolutely. Many of the maternity sessions in the gallery above include partners, big brothers and sisters, and the family dog. We plan who is coming along at your pre-session consult so the shoot is built around your people.

First we'll finalise the perfect date, time and location for your session. Then I'll email you your session fee invoice. To officially confirm your booking you pay the $200 non-refundable session fee and sign a contract. I'll also send you a short questionnaire so I can get to know you before the day, and then we'll book in a pre-shoot coffee catch up to plan your session properly.

Your edited private online gallery will be ready 2-3 days after the shoot, so you can view your images in your own time and choose your favourites, keepsakes and print products. Any prints or keepsakes arrive on your doorstep 2-5 weeks after your session.

My maternity Storyteller packages are designed to capture this beautiful, fleeting part of your story in a way that feels natural, relaxed and true to you. Storyteller One is $795: a 1-hour session with 20 high-resolution digital images, plus a beautifully edited gallery of around 100 images to choose from. Storyteller Two is $1,095: a 1.5-hour session with 30 high-resolution digital images, plus a $195 print credit to spend in my print store. Storyteller Three is $1,395: a 2-hour session with 40 high-resolution digital images, plus a $395 print credit. Whichever package you choose, my approach is the same - relaxed, natural and focused on capturing the connection between you, rather than a collection of perfectly posed photographs.
