Most of us, and quite possibly you, don't LOVE being in front of the camera. That's why my style of couple shoots stays clear of cheesy poses and staged expectations.
Whether it's an engagement photo shoot, to celebrate a special occasion or simply, just because, I am a firm believer in candid, natural poses.

Couples sessions across the Hills District
Couples are one of my favourite things to photograph, and being based in Sydney's Hills District means I have plenty of beautiful locations right on my doorstep - from open fields and quiet bushland to hidden little spots and gorgeous beaches within a short drive.
But we don't have to stay local. If the coast feels more like you, or you've got your heart set on a Blue Mountains clifftop, I'm always happy to explore further afield. I'll help you choose a location that suits the two of you, the feel you're after and, of course, the beautiful natural light.
I'm based in the Hills District, with travel within 30 minutes included in your session fee. And if the perfect spot is a little further away, I'm more than happy to travel - sometimes the best locations are worth the drive.

We hate having our photo taken. Is this going to be awkward?
Most people don't love being in front of a camera, and honestly, that's completely normal. It's exactly why I stay clear of cheesy poses and staged expectations. I'll give you little tips and tricks to help you feel at ease, gentle direction when you need it, and a beautiful location to set the scene. Mostly though, I want you to forget I'm there and just enjoy being together. This shoot is about the two of you, so you should actually enjoy it.
Do you shoot engagement sessions and proposals?
I do, and I love them. Whether it's an engagement shoot, a special occasion or simply just because, my approach is the same: candid and natural. I've also photographed my fair share of surprise proposals disguised as a couples shoot, so if that's what you're planning, I know exactly how to keep the secret.
Where do you shoot couples sessions in Sydney?
Across Sydney and beyond, always outdoors in beautiful natural light. The locations in the gallery above range from the harbour and coastal headlands to bushland and clifftops. We'll choose yours together at your pre-shoot consult, somewhere that suits the two of you and looks beautiful in the light.
What time of day do you shoot?
Sunset, almost always. That golden light just before the sun dips below the horizon is warm, dreamy and so flattering. It shifts through golden tones into soft pinks, purples and deep blues as twilight sets in, which means you get a lot of variety from one session.
What should we wear?
Wear something that feels like you: comfortable, flattering, and something that makes you feel amazing. Think coordinating rather than matching, with textures, layers and flowy fabrics. Neutrals with a pop of colour always look great. I'd avoid thin stripes, large logos and matchy-matchy combinations. And if you're stuck, just ask me. I love helping with this part.

Please do. Plenty of the sessions in the gallery above include the family dog. Just let me know at your pre-shoot consult so I can pick a location that suits them too.
